Updated: Sep 30, 2020

Rose, date and pistachio oatmeal

Bought some rose water because it sounded like a good idea, but not sure how to use it? Well this is the perfect rose water recipe and it couldn't be easier.

Not to mention this is so comforting and sweet I know it will be your new go to breakfast.

Rose water, Date and Pistachio Oatmeal Recipe

^Vegan, soy-free, dairy-free, high protein, refined sugar free

Portion: 1 serving

Prep Time: 5 min

Ingredients

1/2 cup rolled oats

1 cup water

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp ground flaxseeds

1 Tbls Nuzest Chai Turmeric & Maca Protein *

1 medjool date (chopped)

2 tsp rose water

2 tsp tahini

10 pistachios (chopped)

Directions

  1. Add oats and water into a saucepan and cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  2. After a few minutes, add cinnamon and flaxseeds

  3. Once cooked take off the heat and stir through the protein. You might need to add a splash more water to combine

  4. Add 1/2 the chopped date and rose water, stir to combine

  5. Transfer to a bowl and top with tahini, pistachios and the other half of the chopped date**

Notes

*If you don't have this protein flavour substitute for any vanilla protein and add 1/2 tsp of Maca and 1/4 tsp Turmeric

** You can add more dates if you prefer your breakfast sweater, but this perfect for me
